Explore the lavish beauty of Jaipur, exploring historical locations like the FatehpurSikri, Amber Palace Fort etc. this lavish journey to the three cities in India, is something that is set to remain embedded in the minds of thrill seekers, for a long time to come.
The tour starts in Delhi. Delhi is the colorful Indian capital. A bustling metropolis with an amazing mix of ethnicity and modern values, the loud and colorful Delhi and its inhabitants are surely a sight to behold. Delhi is a melting pot with people all over India buzzing into the capital each year. It's carefully preserved, antique monuments, forts, and tombs offer spectacular sights. Upon reaching the capital, you will be transferred to the hotel, whereby you will spend the night.
Delhi is a perfect mix of two portions, New Delhi and Old Delhi. The first part of the tour today will cover Old Delhi. Old Delhi is home to historic monuments whose ethnicity and antiquity has been maintained. We will visit the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi first. Mahatma Gandhi was a prominent leader of the civil independence movement in the British-ruled India. The location of Raj Ghat is important for the residents of this country.
We will move on to visit the Jama Masjid, known best for being the largest mosque in India. This will be followed by a short trip to the Mughal Fort constructed using bricks and red stone, the Red Fort.
The better half of the afternoon will be utilized in the visiting then locations in New Delhi. We visit sites like QutubMinar; a tower built in 1193 A.D. the tower was built to indicate the Muslim dominance in New Delhi after the last Hindu ruler of the city was defeated.
We move on to the visit the grand Hindu Temple complex of Akshardham temple. Another noteworthy location is the India Gate. India Gate paints the true picture of New Delhi and is a war memorial. It was made in dedicated to 820000 soldiers of the undivided Indian Army, who died in the First World War.
The last location we visit today is the Lotus Temple. Also known as the Bahai House of Worship, the temple was completed on 1986 and is known especially for its flowerlike shape. We will also walk past the Government Secretariat Buildings, Parliament House as well as the President’s House.
Today, we drive to the pink city of Jaipur. Jaipur is a sea of palace windows and is the second largest city in terms of size in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is the capital of Rajasthan and a gateway to explore the flamboyant state. The chaotic streets of this enthralling city are filled with dawdling camels, leisure cycle rickshaws, swarms of motorbikes and the splendors of its majestic architectural past. It is known as the pink city because Maharaja Ram Singh of Jaipur painted the whole city pink in order to welcome Prince of Wales and Queen Victoria when they visited back on 1876.
Before reaching this spectacular city, we will explore the nooks and crannies of FatehpurSikri on the way. This magnificent deserted city was the capital of Emperor Akbar and is a complex of magnificent looking forts, palaces, mosque, sandstone ridges, and immense walls.
Upon reaching Jaipur, we can breathe in the ambiance and the beauty of people going about their daily work, or relish the views of the sprawling city from above the hotel premises. Also included is the chance to explore shopping locations in this vibrant city. Approximately 5 hours of drive.
This exciting day takes us to sightseeing locations in the flamboyant and beautiful city of Jaipur. We will start off with sightseeing in the Amber Fort. Amber Fort is one of the most important tourist attractions in the city of Jaipur. Located high up on a hill, this city was built in the 16th century. Enjoy an elephant ride or a jeep ride to the fort and back, toe explore the architectural marvels and to witness the views of the city in all its glory.
We move on next, to visit HawaMahal. HawaMahal translated to English means the Palace of the Winds. HawaMahal gains its name for the unique architecture of the Palace, which manages to make the insides cool, even when temperatures are scorching outside. The clever cooling system propagated in the city breezes through the inner rooms of the city and intense Rajasthan summer can do nothing to phase away from the gentle breeze of the palace.
We continue to visit the City Palace. City Palace is the heart of the old city and is a blend of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture. The City Palace houses museum with a huge array of costumes, ancient weapons, arms, textiles and immaculately created paintings.
The last destination to visit today is JantarMantar. Jantar Mantra is an astronomical observation site built by Maharaja Jai Singh- II. It was built in the 18th century and is still an alluring destination for locals and foreigners.
Drive to the city of love, Agra today. Agra is an ancient city located on the banks of the holy Yamuna River. It was the capital in the past era, of the Mughal emperors like Akbar, Shah Jaha, Jehangir, and Aurangzeb. Agra is known best for the prominent structure of TajMahal.
We will take a look at the mighty TajMahal and will also visit the Agra Fort, which was created by the great Mughal Emperor Akbar. After witnessing the spectacular architectural delights of the city, we finally end the day in the premises of the hotel. Approximately 4 hours of drive.
We will start up early morning to visit the opulence of TajMahal. TajMahal is the symbol of love and is one of the Seven Wonders of the modern world. it is an immense mausoleum of white marble situated on the southern bank of Yamuna. It was created by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his favorite wife MumtazMahal. The 17-hectare complex is surely something to wonder upon. It is set in formal gardens and is surrounded by a crenelated wall. The structure was built between the years of 132- 53 by about 20, 000 artisan and all the effort put into the structure surely stands proud and tall even today. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a jewel of Muslim art in India and is one of the most acclaimed masterpieces of human creations in the world.
Later, we move on to visit the old parts of Agra and its hidden alleys. Visit local markets for souvenirs for loved ones back home.
Today, we drive back to Delhi. The path is strewn with views of people going about in their daily lives. It is time to witness the throbbing nightlife of Delhi once you reach the capital of India. Approximately 4 hours of drive.
It is time to bid goodbye to the most colorful country on earth. With the memories embedded in minds and the promise to return back for more we do some last minute shopping in Delhi, before bidding farewell to India. Approximately 6 hours of drive.
